Inside Shadakala: How Our In-House Factory Reduces Waste

Pattern efficiency

We re-map patterns every quarter to nest pieces tighter. This alone saves roughly 9 meters of fabric per 100 tees.

Offcut reuse

Usable offcuts become pocket linings and hanger loops. The smallest pieces are shredded into filler for shipping cushions, reducing virgin plastic use.

Tighter dye batches

Batching colors in 30–50 piece runs keeps shade variation low and reduces re-dye cycles, saving water and energy.

Quality checkpoints

We inspect fabric for pilling resistance and seam strength before cutting, so fewer pieces are rejected post-production.
